And there happened to be there a rebel, whose name was Sheba the son of Bichri, a Benjamite. And he blew a trumpet, and said: “We have no share in David, Nor do we have inheritance in the son of Jesse; Every man to his tents, O Israel!” So every man of Israel deserted David and followed Sheba the son of Bichri. But the men of Judah, from the Jordan as far as Jerusalem, remained loyal to their king.
II Samuel 20:1‭-‬2 NKJV

In the Christian life and Christian service, we are bound to go through thick and thin, ups and downs, moments of trials and triumphs, and periods of acceptance and rejection.

Whatever happens along the way as we pursue God and do His will is always for our Good. We cannot escape certain challenges of life until we reach the place where sin and sorrow are forever done away with, the heavenly Jerusalem where Jesus Christ our Saviour had gone to prepare a place for us to dwell with Him eternally.

You must also know this, amid God’s activity, there will be people who misunderstand and oppose His work. On the heels of victory often comes the despair of human failure. When all these happen, the right attitude for you to exhibit is to remain on the Lord’s side – the winning side, keep your eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ and be faithful to the end. In due time the Lord will return to you, vindicate you and reward your faithfulness.

No situation should make you doubt the love of God or feel forsaken by Him. God’s love for you is constant, permanent and everlasting. Keep your focus always on Him in all your circumstances and you will find Him faithful at the end. May the Lord help you to remain steadfast and strong till you reach the glorious end in Jesus’ name. Good morning and do have a blessed day.

Your brother,
