WEEP NOT, THERE’S YET HOPE FOR YOU
Now it happened, when David and his men came to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire, and had taken captive
the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way. So David and his men came to the city, and there it was, burned
with fire; and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive. Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep. I Samuel 30:1-4
Trials and tribulations are no respecter of persons. Both the righteous and the wicked, the saints
and the sinners, the faithful and the unfaithful, the mighty and the lowly all have their share.
At such a terrible time, the heart begins to bleed with thoughtless words that query God’s love. With this, it is not unlikely for the righteous to feel forsaken, helpless, weak, stranded and weep
uncontrollably like an infant.
However, there is a clear difference between the travail of the righteous and a sinner. For the righteous, time of trials and tribulations are God’s moment to manifest His awesome presence and demonstrate His incomparably great power both to save and restore the seemingly lost hope. With that, the righteous has no need to fear but to hope in the Lord and steadfastly wait on God;
He is able to uphold you and raise you up again. With this knowledge comes the inner strength and courage for the righteous to forge ahead and transit into a more glorious and fulfilling future.
Don’t give up yet and never conclude that it is all over for you. Rather, encourage yourself in the Lord and seek to know the mind of God and you will soon discover that your present challenges
which the enemy meant for your downfall or disgrace are designed by the Lord to result in your supernatural uplifting and glory. It is not yet over until you win. Good morning and do have a
victorious week with total recovery.
