All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them, “If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this wilderness! Why is the Lord bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword? Our wives and children will be taken as plunder. Wouldn’t it be better for us to go back to Egypt?” And they said to each other, “We should choose a leader and go back to Egypt.”

Numbers 14:2-‬4 NIV

God’s Redemptive Plan is For Your Freedom

In as much it wasn’t the will of God that you remained under the yoke of the Egyptian taskmasters, it will also be far from His nature to save you and lead you out of Egypt only to waste your life in the wilderness.

God Is Ever Faithful

However, as you follow on in the footsteps of Jesus and pursue Him daily to do His will, certain difficulties may confront you, confusing and terrifying situations may suddenly appear and the fear of defeat may overwhelm you. Don’t panic and never doubt the ability and the integrity of God to accomplish the purpose for which He has appointed for you in Christ Jesus. Rather, stay where God has led you, with your eyes focused on Jesus and in submission to the spiritual leadership He has placed over you.

Remain Steadfast Till the End

Quitting or fleeing will be disastrous but developing the attitude of faith, courage and absolute trust in God will make you witness the miraculous and great wonders of His power as you follow on to the Promised Land He had prepared ahead for you. May the Lord help you to be resilient and confident in Him and His word till you reach the final end of your pilgrimage in Jesus name. Have a joyous and blessed Sunday.

Confession

Oh Lord my God, I have no power of my own, strengthen my feeble knees and weak hands. Revive my fainting heart that I may run the race till the end to win the prize in Jesus name.
