For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. Jeremiah 29:11 AMPC

We often become very optimistic, confident and cheerful when everything is running smoothly. It is also natural that we are full of hopes, aspirations and great ideas of what we can still make of life when everything is on the positive side.

But when the unexpected happens especially a sudden disaster that comes with a very huge loss; fear then takes the place of faith, discouragement displaced courage, confidence gives way for apprehension and the once cheerful person becomes depressed, downcast and dejected.

Friend, such is life even the Christian life for that matter. Man is born for afflictions but no child of God is saved to drown in the ocean of adversity or perish in the battle of life. On the contrary, heroes and champions of faith are made in the crucible just like furnace is for gold. While it is inevitable to live in this world without difficult and traumatic moments, it is also certain that no matter the intensity of the heat, the fierceness of the storm and no matter how colossal the loss you might have suffered, it is sure that your end has not yet come. The good plan of God for your life is by far transcends your current situation. Though your experience may change but the purpose of God for your life remain unchanged because of His love for you.

Don’t give up yet and never think it is over for you. It cannot be over until you win. The precious Jesus whom you believe and to whom you belong stands sure and steadfast at the centre of your life upholding it and fixing up the broken pieces to make it whole again. Therefore, brace up, go forward and press on unto victory for there’s a future hope for you.

Your brother,
