While He was in Bethany, reclining at the table in the house of Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on His head. Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, “Why this waste of perfume?” “Leave her alone,” said Jesus. Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. Mark 14:3-4, 6

Until you live your life broken and poured it out in remembrance of what Jesus has done for you, your life cannot be a living memorial to Christ. Until what you offer to the Lord in appreciation of His supreme love for you appear like a waste to those around you, you have not yet done a beautiful or good thing for the One who came to seek, save and transformed your life.

What are the things or the very thing in your life that needs to be broken and poured out like the jar of the perfume? Go ahead this day and do likewise. If you do, Jesus says, What you have done will also be told throughout the world in memory of you. May the Lord help you to be wise in how and where you invest your life. Have a glorious encounter in His presence today.
