THE TRAVAILING OF THE RIGHTEOUS
At about three o’clock Jesus cried out with a loud shout, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why did you abandon me?” Matthew 27:46 GNT
It is not unusual for the faithful to feel frustrated, depressed, neglected, forsaken and abandoned by God. Sometimes when the battles become fierce and help is not in view, it is very much possible for the righteous to be discouraged and temporarily lose perspective especially when the fulfilment of the promise is prolonged and the labour pain is multiplied.
However, you must not give up yet! Though the battles may be tough. God remains faithful. He will uphold you, renew your strength and comfort you on every side till His Word comes to pass.
He cannot lie, He only needs ample time to make you, develop you and prepare you for the glorious level which He had made ready for you. Brace up in hope, this present pain will soon turn to gain, the sorrow will end in joy and the seeming defeat you experience today will soon end in victory. May you not break down at the point of your breakthrough in Jesus name. Good morning and have a refreshing weekend.
