And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. Colossians 2:13‭-‬15

You can tell a lot about a person by the way he dies. The way Jesus marched to the Cross at Calvary to die leaves no doubt, no surprise, no hesitation and no faltering: He had come to the earth for the very reason.

By His death, He had paid the full ransom for your soul, spirit and body. All your sins have been washed away, you have been delivered from the sinful nature, rescued from the kingdom of Satan and brought into the Kingdom of God where Jesus is the King.

By His death, you have been forgiven, justified, reconciled and restored to live in God’s presence. By His death, He has redeemed you from every curse, cancelled and destroyed all the records that contained all your indebtedness and all the punishments you are to suffer for your failure to follow rules and regulations.

By His death, He stripped the spiritual rulers and powers of their authority over and against you. By His death, He has given you the victory over sin, over death and over Satan and his cohorts. At the Cross Jesus showed the whole world that they are powerless and cannot have dominion over you any longer.

These are your GAINS from His PAINS and the reason the Friday He died was GOOD for you. Therefore rejoice and celebrate His death that brings you redemption and hope to live eternally in the Kingdom of God. Also, let no one lay any charge against you any more because Jesus has paid the ransom for your freedom in full and at one moment. Happy Easter.
