Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!” But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?” Matthew 8:23‭-‬27 NKJV

Your wholehearted commitment to follow Jesus Christ and your passion to serve Him faithfully may not necessarily immune you from life’s troubles and challenges. However, life’s difficulties no matter their magnitude that God may permit along your paths in life are also not capable of rendering you stranded, defeated and unfulfilled in life.

This you must know also, whatever storm or troubles that you are to experience in life are never intended by God either to drown you or cut your life short. Rather, they are divinely arranged to deepen your faith in God, expose you to another side of His love, power and wisdom to manifest His glory in your life.

Consequently, the least that Jesus will expect from you when storm arises is to be fearful or despair of life. This is because He is with you still and He cannot at your moment of trial forsake you. Instead He wants you to be aware of His presence with you in the storm, rise up in faith and call upon Him in prayer.

With Jesus going with you or you following Jesus, it is certain that there is no tempest no matter how strong that can overwhelm, overcome and hinder you from arriving at His determined destination for you. Our God does not only have the capacity to prevent the sea from become boisterous, He also can save you through it all and make you a testimony of His faithfulness at last. May the Lord increase your faith and strength in your moment of adversity that you may overcome eventually. Good morning and do have a glorious weekend.
