“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.  Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.John 15:1‭, ‬4‭-‬5 NKJV

Apart from Jesus, you cannot live and survive both in the present world and the one to come. Satan continues to lurk around, temptations and sins are prevalent everywhere. Except you are in Jesus, you will sure be caught in the web of the evil one whose primary goal and objective is to render you useless, unfruitful, unfulfilled in life and destroy your soul in eternity. 

But with Christ living in you, you are not only complete, that is, have all that you need for life and godliness; you have also been given dominion and authority to live victoriously over sin, Satan and all the evil forces in the world. 

This victory is not something Christ gives to you; it is Him living in you and working in you both to will and do of His good pleasure. You do not imitate Him, He inhabits you. This is the mystery of our faith in Christ that is unknown to those still in darkness.

So, as set out this new day, new week and as you journey through the rest days of this year, always note that only with Christ you can live and survive in this evil and hostile world. Without Him you really can do anything of eternal consequences. I pray the Lord will open your eyes that you may know Him, help you to be grounded and steadfast in your faith and in union with Him.
