Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.” And He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will. ” Then He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour?  Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Mark 14:36‭-‬38

The flesh is the chief enemy to divine usefulness. You cannot hold to your personal desires and plans and expect to please God at the same time. You also cannot serve God at your own terms.

Doing the will of God comes at a great cost to you. It demands absolute surrender of your own will, cherished ambitions, dreams, wishes and aspirations.

God’s will is rarely the easy way to follow, but it is always the right way to go in life. Holding on to your own way will prevent you from finishing your race at His glorious presence where there is eternal joy and rest. May God help you this day and always to totally renounce self and choose to go God’s way everyday of your life no matter the cost. Good morning and do have a blessed weekend.
