The salvation that Jesus paid for by His own life at the cross is a complete package that includes deliverance from sin, the sinful nature, the consequences of sins and all forms of Satanic oppressions. It also involves freedom from oppressive practices of the godless world system.

However, while the accomplishment of our salvation is exclusively an act of God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ, the sustainability of the liberty purchased for us by Jesus Christ is a mutual responsibility between God and man.

Therefore, to maintain your new righteous position in Christ requires your continuous abiding in Christ, Christ living in you by the Holy Spirit and you responding daily to the guidance and leadership of the Holy Spirit as He instructs and reveal God’s truth to you from His word.

You cannot attain Christlikeness by observing external codes. It will mean fruitless efforts for you to achieve right standing with God through a legalistic lifestyle of dos and don’ts.

All you need to do is to is to rely absolutely upon Jesus who now lives in you by His Holy Spirit to guide you through the valleys, the plains and the various mountain tops in the world.

As long you as you remain steadfast in Christ and constantly resisting any attempt from anyone to bring you under any legalistic rules no matter how favorable they seem to appear, you are bound to live victoriously in Christ. May the Lord God help you to stand firm in His freedom which He bought for you by the precious life of His Son Jesus Christ which He offered for your liberation in Jesus name. Good morning.
