I have come as a Light into the world, so that whoever believes in Me [whoever cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] may not continue to live in darkness. John 12:46 AMPC

The word “darkness” simply means gloom, evil, pain, sin, obscurity, confusion, chaos, night, ignorance, moral depravity, death, disaster, etc. It is commonly used in the New Testament Bible as ignorance of divine truth, man’s sinful nature, lack of the knowledge of the will of God and absence of spiritual perception. Basically, darkness describes everything worldly or demonic that is at enmity with God and contrary to the will and plans of God for His children.

Just as the Light is a personality: Jesus Christ the Saviour, Christ the Redeemer, Christ the Restorer of hope. Likewise, darkness is a personality: Satan the deceiver, the destroyer and the arch enemy of your soul.

The only way of escape from the darkness is to believe in Jesus Christ, walk with Him daily and be rooted in the knowledge of His Word. I pray the Lord Jesus, the true Light will expose and destroy
every work of darkness in your life, home, job or career or ministry as you daily anchor your trust in Him. Good morning and do enjoy a victorious weekend.
