IT’S NOT YOUR FINAL END YET
After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord , the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide: “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites. No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:1-2, 5, 9 NIV
As it were, no one no matter how gifted, talented, charismatic or anointed can finish all of God’s work on earth. Everyone chosen or called by God will at best finish his own part and at the end of his tenure leave the stage for others to carry on where he had stopped. The exit of a leader or the end of an era is usually the beginning of another man and a new chapter for God’s people. This is because nothing in life can stop God’s purpose. The determinate counsel of God must surely come to pass whatever happens.
Just as God’s plans for His children even you cannot be truncated no matter your previous experience. It is also certain that God’s commitment to bring to pass what He has promised can also not change. God is eternally committed to helping you reach your final goal just as He has assured you earlier.
However, the fulfilment of the promise of God for you is equally dependent on your attitude to God and His promise for your life. If you will reach your Promised Land you must of a necessity renounce fear and eschew discouragement. You must be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. You must also be courageous to march on until you win no matter the situation.
Fear is one of the chief weapons the enemy uses to hinder, rob and render us useless and defeated in the life’s battle. The antidote against fear is divine strength, motivation and courage that come from constant awareness of God’s presence with you and your willingness both to listen and do as His word commands you. May the Lord God give you a listening ear, receptive heart and obedient mind as He instructs you always and leads you by His Spirit into the conquest of your allotted inheritance in Jesus name. Good morning.
