Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part, He is blasphemed, but on your part, He is glorified. I Peter 4:12-14 NKJV

Dear fellow pilgrim, the trials of our faith as true followers of Christ come in various ways and they take different dimensions from person to person. Whichever way and whatever time yours take, do not consider it as something strange to you. Rather, it is God’s means of testing, prooving, and refining your faith, commitment, and love for Him.

No matter the pain, humiliation, opposition, or rejection that may come at the time of your trials and distress, never see it as an opportunity or excuse to compromise your allegiance to Jesus. But an occasion to demonstrate your unflinching trust and unshakable confidence in Him.

If you remain steadfast in your faith and hope in God, the Lord will return to vindicate you at last, His hand shall lift you out of your miry clay, out of your penury and despondence, and bring you to the place of divine prominence with a new song in your mouth. Don’t ever give up, the battle will soon be over! Good morning and do have a refreshing weekend.

Your brother,

Olufemi Babalola
