He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” Luke 24:46-49 NIV

Never assume that people, money, or material resources will enable you to accomplish a task for God. Nothing in this life can replace God’s powerful presence. The presence of God with you through His Holy Spirit upon you gives you strength far beyond any human or earthly resources can offer.

This supernatural power comes at God’s discretion and for His purposes. If you are not desperate for God’s presence and to be clothed with the power from above, He may allow you to experience the limits of what your own resources can do. But the authentic anointing from above gives you access to heavenly resources and to run at heaven’s speed.

This is far better but comes at a price of tarrying in God’s presence till He comes to equip, envelope and saturate you with His powerful presence which no force on earth can resist. May the Lord help you to cultivate the practice of waiting on Him and may He release upon you the supernatural power to accomplish His mandate for your life in Jesus name.
