“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?Matthew 6:25‭-‬27 NLT

Worry simply means “to divide into parts.” It suggests a distraction, a preoccupation with things causing anxiety, stress, and pressure.

Food and clothing are necessities of life. However, when you decide to go outside God to seek to provide for yourself and not trust God to tap from His daily allocations for your life, you make yourself of lesser value than the birds of the air and the grass of the field who enjoyed God’s free care at no stress and no cost to them.

There is no degree of fear, and anxiety about these basic needs of life that can improve your life, it would rather reduce your life span and sentence you to the early grave. Worry, fear, and anxiety about tomorrow make you act as if God does not exist or God is too limited to provide for all your needs.

The God whom you believe in and whom you serve is a caring Father and He knows all your needs better than you do. Simply put your trust in Him and do not allow your concerns for material things to distract you from seeking His total Lordship over your life. Your life is in God’s hands and you are safe and secure if you remain there. Your well-being is His utmost concern. If you learn to trust Him daily and rely absolutely on Him, He will make all your ends meet at no stress for you and at no cost to you. May God help you to daily look up to Him by faith to access His abundant provisions for your life and family in Jesus’ name. Good morning.

Your brother,
