FROM FIERY TRIALS TO THE GLORIOUS TRIUMPH
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:10-11 NIV
Frankly, the Christian life is not a bed of roses. Though we are called into a rich fulfillment to receive and wear the crown of glory both in the present world and in the world to come. Yet, before we wear the crown we must first bear the cross. This, undoubtedly comes with pain, loss and anguish.
However, the pain has an end. The battle itself will not go on forever, it’s just for a while. When the trials are over, every wound sustained in the strife will be healed, every loss incurred will be restored, every shaking experienced will be established and every weariness suffered will be strengthened.
The gracious God Himself will mend you like old broken nets, He will give you secure foundations and internally renew your strength. Therefore, brace up and do not retreat from the battle for there is hope for your future and you have been destined to win. May the Lord give you the strength and the resilience to carry on till you are crowned. Good morning.
