See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15‭-‬16 NKJV

The word “circumspectly” simply means “with awareness of one’s surroundings.” It indicates walking wisely, prudently, and with due regard for the dangers all around.

God our Father is Light in whom there is no darkness at all. Jesus Christ our Lord is the Light of the world. Likewise, Jesus says Christians are the Light of the world. By implication, Jesus is what God is and Christians are also who Jesus is, the Light.

Therefore, as Christ’s disciples, we should walk in the Light: following in the steps of Jesus Christ our Master, not stumbling about in darkness unaware of our duty to God and our example to other men.

Even you, as a child of God, cannot live anyhow, walk anyhow, speak anyhow, act anyhow, or dress anyhow. Your life must be guided and regulated by the Word of God and with due regard to your circumstances.

Circumstances are not an excuse to compromise the truths of God’s Word you know rather, they are opportunities to live by those truths in every specific instance you find yourself as you journey through life in this world.

When you allow God’s Word to regulate your life, you will possess the wisdom to know what God would have you do in each situation and the courage to do it. So, as you set out this new day/week, may the Lord God order your steps in His Word, and may He give you the courage to do as He instructs in Jesus’ name. Good morning and do have a blessed week.

Your brother,
