There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar. Then the Lord appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.
Genesis 26:1‭-‬3 NKJV

One of the greatest privileges you have as a child of God is the Spirit’s guidance. The presence of God with you and the leading of the Holy Spirit is your distinguishing factors from the rest of the people in the world. The reason is that you are not an ordinary person on earth, you are a purchased possession, a redeemed child of God, God’s chosen vessel to carry out His purpose on earth.

Consequent to God’s investment and the great expectation He has for your life, you are not supposed to respond to circumstances, events and happenings in the world or your life like others do. The Holy Spirit living in you is your Counselor, your Tour Guard and your Instructor whom you must listen to and obey at all times.

He alone knows the plans of God for your life and the perfect timing God has chosen to fulfil His purpose for your election. Therefore, in whatever situation or circumstances, your response should not be based on what you see others do or what your human feelings tell you to do but on what you hear God by His Spirit tells you to do and where He leads you to go. What appears today like a difficult situation may actually be God’s plan to bless you, establish you and confirm His covenant with you.

Therefore, always wait on God, hear from Him to know His perspective in every situation and watch to see what He is doing around you before you launch out or venture into doing anything. May the Lord help you not to relocate from where He has commanded your allocation to meet you in Jesus’ name. Good morning and do have a blessed day.
