“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, …But you shall be named the priests of the Lord, They shall call you the servants of our God. You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, And in their glory you shall boast. Isaiah 61:1‭-‬2‭, ‬6 NKJV

God’s purpose for your calling and election in Christ is beyond your human ability,  strength or what you can accomplish by any earthly power or connection. It will take the outpouring of the Spirit of God upon you to fulfill His mandate for your life where He has posted you.

The anointing of the Holy Spirit upon any child or servant of God is first and foremost the proof to God’s pleasure, His seal of ownership and His mark of identification that you were commissioned by Him.

However, the Spirit of God does not come upon a person arbitrarily, it takes God Himself to anoint His servant whom He had chosen and sent to accomplish His purpose among mankind on earth.

Until the Sovereign God has anointed you with the Holy Spirit and power, you remain impotent, powerless, incompetent and inadequate to accomplish any extraordinary feat for the Lord wherever you are sent on a mission for Him.

Not only that, the lack of the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon you will make you vulnerable to all sorts of attacks, constant molestations and ridicules by the enemy, whose ultimate goal is to render you fruitless, unproductive and unprofitable in divine ventures. I pray the Lord God will help you this day and make you capable, strong and competent by His Holy Spirit that you may fulfill His purpose for your life in Jesus name. Have a lovely weekend.
