“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” Matt 28:18-19

Following the events of Christ’s death and resurrection was the commissioning of His disciples to represent Him as His witnesses on earth. Their mandate as His witnesses is to simply announce to all mankind in every nation on earth that the Kingdom of this world has become the Kingdom of our God and His Christ (Revelation11:15). Every follower of Christ has now been made the priest and king on earth to serve our God and reign on earth (Revelation 5:10).

However, our Lord knowing the enormity of the task, its scope and the hostile terrain He is sending us to fulfil our mission will not permit us to do so at the expense of our lives. Rather, He gives to us exactly what His Father also gave to Him which enabled Him finished well and finished strong; He has given us ALL the AUTHORITY in heaven and on earth.

The term ‘ Authority ‘ in the New Testament basically means freedom of choice. The greater the freedom, the more autonomy one has to choose and act, though not arbitrarily but according to God’s will.

God’s authority is ultimate, sovereign and absolute to act as He desires and to carry out His will. Whatever He decides to do cannot be thwarted by any natural power in the universe. He demonstrated His authority over traditions, natural forces, the power of sin, Satan and his cohorts and the grip of death itself. He is free to grant this authority to whomever He chooses.
He gave Jesus Christ His Son ALL authority in heaven and on earth and Jesus Christ in turn gives this authority to those He chooses to represent Him.

Therefore, the fulfilment of your assigned purpose in life comes but not by your ability, strength, skills, competence and resources any longer but on Christ’s absolute authority which He has given you. Go this day in the Supernatural Power and do exploits for the Lord. Good morning. Stay alive, stay safe and stay alert, Jesus Christ our Lord is Coming again.

Your brother,
