“If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” Genesis 4:7 NKJV

Divine acceptance comes not by mere externalities but by the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible inner man that is obedient, reverent, and submissive to God and His Word.

Also, no one suddenly falls into sin of any kind, it takes a while for sin to develop, mature, and eventually execute. It is unconquered thoughts, imaginations, and inordinate desires that lead to sin and thereafter death (divine condemnation and separation from God).

However, everyone under grace can truncate and avert the terrible consequences of sin. By taking heed to your thoughts and constantly renewing your mind with God’s word, you can escape the tempter’s snare or abort sin even when it has been conceived in you.

Likewise, God will set you free from the damnation of sin even if you have committed it. This comes by simply acknowledging your sin, confessing it, and forsaking it. It’s dangerous to cover sin or to pretend it has not occurred. May the LORD God help you to rule over sin in the remaining part of your journey this year and the rest of your life as you daily appropriate His grace through Jesus Christ our Lord. Good morning and do have a glorious worship experience.

Your brother,
