“If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” Genesis 4:7 NKJV

Divine acceptance comes not by mere externalities but by the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible inner man that is obedient, reverent and submissive to God and His Word.

Also, no one suddenly falls into sin of any kind. It takes awhile for sin to develop, mature and eventually executed. It is unconqured thoughts, imaginations and inordinate desires that lead to sin and thereafter death (divine condemnation).

However, it is possible for everyone under grace to truncate and avert the terrible consequences of sin. How? By taking heed to our thoughts and constantly renewing our mind with God’s word. It is possible to can escape the tempter’s snare or abort sin even when it has been conceived before it is hatched.

Likewise, God will set you free from damnation of sin even if you have committed it. This comes if you will simply acknowledging your sin, confess it and forsake it.

It’s dangerous to cover sin or to pretend it has not occurred. May the LORD God help you to rule over sin throughout your journey in life by daily appropriating His grace through Jesus Christ our Lord and constantly fixing your mind on the mind and attitude of Jesus Christ. Good morning.

Your brother,
