“After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.  They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” Acts 1:9‭-‬11

The ultimate hope of every Christian rests on the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His triumphant and glorious return will be the culmination of all the redemptive work of God from the beginning of time. It is the event that will mark the onset of eternity with those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, faithfully followed and served Him here on earth and truly obeyed His Word and lived for Him.

The coming back of Jesus into the world will also provide the faithful disciples the right of entry through the eternal gate into the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of God not as pilgrims this time, but as settlers and permanent residents there forever.

On the contrary, those who persisted in their sins and refused to accept God’s free gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ will be shut outside where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then, the doors of grace and mercy would have been closed forever.

If you truly desire to go with Christ at His return, then live in constant anticipation of His return, be fully occupied by Him and for Him while you are still in this world. Eternity is not a joke, it is real and there are  only two destinations there, Heaven and Hell.

Each day of your life and the choices you make while you are still alive here on earth will determine your placement in eternity. You can’t choose to follow Jesus and live for Him while you are alive here on earth and end your journey in Hell to spend your eternity there. May the Lord count you worthy to be among His own that will reign with Him forever in eternity in Jesus name. *GET READY, JESUS THE KING IS COMING BACK AGAIN IN GLORY AND IN MAJESTY.*
